Carmelized Onions & Mushrooms

INGREDIENTS

1 medium red onion sliced
2 large portabellas (or equivalent mushroom of choice
2-3 tbsp organic, grass fed butter
Salt & pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS

Step 1
Heat butter in large sautee pan over medium to low heat. Add onions and cook until slightly translucent.
Step 2
Add sliced mushrooms and cook slowly, stirring frequently until brown and caramelized. Salt and pepper to taste.

Serving Suggestion
Serve over burgers, beef, pork or chicken. Delicious mixed into a scramble or frittata. Add parsley for a little pop of color.
